Acceptable Use Policy

What can be mailed through Axiom Mail, and how lists must be handled.

Last updated October 12, 2026

This policy is part of the Terms and Conditions. It applies to every letter, postcard, QR code and form sent or served through Axiom Mail. Our printing partner has its own content rules, and mail that breaks them will not be printed.

Mail you may not send

  • Anything illegal, or that promotes illegal goods, services or activity.
  • Mail that is false or misleading, including mail made to look like a bill, government notice or check when it is not.
  • Threats, harassment, or content that promotes hate or violence against people or groups.
  • Sexually explicit content.
  • Mail that pretends to come from someone else, or uses another business's name or logo without permission.
  • Debt collection mail, unless you are allowed to collect that debt and the mail follows the laws for collection notices.
  • Mail that uses someone's private information, such as health or financial details, in a way they did not agree to.
  • Political mail, unless you include every disclosure the law requires.
  • Mail promoting firearms, drugs, tobacco, gambling or other regulated products, unless the law allows it and you follow its rules.

Your mailing lists

  • Only mail people you have a lawful reason to contact, from lists you have the right to use.
  • Honor every request to stop mailing. Add the person to your do-not-mail list in Axiom Mail, which then skips them on every mailing.
  • Do not upload lists bought or gathered in a way that breaks the law or another service's terms.

QR codes and forms

  • QR codes must lead to a safe page. Never point one at malware, phishing, or a page that collects passwords.
  • Forms must not ask for card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers or passwords.
  • Tell people why you are asking for their information, and use it only for that.

What happens if mail breaks this policy

We may hold or cancel a mailing, turn off a QR code or form, or suspend an account that breaks this policy. When a mailing is cancelled before it prints, its cost goes back to your balance.
